Houston Woman’s
Funeral Wednesday
ERIN, Funeral services for Mrs. Mollie Powers age 92, who died at the home of her daughter. Mrs. Will Griffin, Monday, will be held at the Camp Ground Church, Wednesday at 2 p. m. Funeral will be conduced by the Rev. O. W. Baxter, pastor of the Sango Methodist Church assisted by the Rev. J. W. Crossman; pastor of the Erin Nazarene Church. Burial will be in Lockhart Cemetery.
Mrs. Powers was born In Stewart County, November 3, 1856, daughter of the late James and Mary Boswell Buckingham and was married to Mr. George W. Powers September, 18th, 1878. To this union five children were born, three of whom survive. They are Mrs. Will Griffin, Mrs. D. E. Marable, and Mrs. T.B. Bateman all of Erin. Ten grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren survive. One sister, Mrs. Lizzie Weakley of Palmyra, Tennessee, and one brother, Will Buckingham of Tyler, Texas, survives
She was a member of the Nazarene Church.
