EDWARD LOGAN ALLEN

Edward Logan Allen 60, Route 2, Cumberland Furnace died Friday at Veterans Hospital Nashville after an extended illness The funeral will be at 2 p. m. Sunday at Sykes Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Vernon Moore officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood CemeteryAllen was born March 20, 1915 in Lewisburg, son of Hayden Allen and Mary Jones Allen Adkins.
He was a retired salesman food wholesaler, a member of the Presbyterian Church and an Army veteran of World War II.Survivors include his wife, Annie Shelby Allen, Cumberland Furnace; two sons, Edward Haden Allen, Nashville, and Thomas Warren Allen, Clarksville; one daughter, Freéda Baggett Clarksville; and five granddaughters
Pallbearers will be Paul Lee Robert Lie, Bobby Lee, Mickey Lee, Joe Lee, Wayne Clardy, John Hughes
Key, William Key, Edward Key, Jacob Useery, Rex Parker and Jack Powell.In lieu of other contributions, the family requests donations be made to the American Heart Association.
