Obituary of
HENRY HERBERT ALLEN

Services for Mr. Henry Herbert Allen, Sr., 77, of Lyles, Tennessee, were held Saturday morning, May14, 1977, at 10 o'clock, in the chapel of Taylor Funeral Home conducted by Reverend Jerry Milam, with burial in Memory Gardens.

Mr. Allen, a carpenter who was employed in construction work until his retirement thirteen years ago, died Wednesday, May 11, at his home. He was a native of Long Beach, Mississippi, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Marion Allen. He was a member of the Baptist church.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Effie Lou Brown Allen of Lyles, three sons: Wayne and Carl Allen, both of Lyles and Don Allen of Burns, five daughters, Mrs. Virginia Greer of Pegram, Mrs. Marion Hedgepath of Madions, Mrs. Wanda Sue Rawls of Lyles, Mrs. Jean Burgett and Ms. Judy Buttrey, both of Nashville; one sister, Mrs. Bessie Hartsell of Nashville; thirty-six grandchildren and twenty-five great-grandchildren.
