Services for John Daniel Allen, 68, of Waverly were held in the chapel of Dickson Funeral Home Wednesday. November 13. John Katheris conducted the services and burial was in Leech cemetery.
Mr. Alien died Monday November 11 in a Waverly hospital.
A son of the late Horace D. and Edna Leech Allen, he was a Mason and a member of the Church of Christ.
His survivors include his wife, Mrs. Myrtle Allen;adaughter, Mrs. Marion
Gore of Ash. North Carolina; two sons. Paul Willard Allen of Chattanooga
and Clyde Leonard Allen of Nashville; six grandchildren; one brother, William
(Bill) Allen of Charlotte; seven sisters, Mrs. Henson Littleton of Waverly,
Mrs. Margie Oakley of Russellville. Kentucky; Mrs. Elihu Southerland of
Atlanta, Georgia, Mrs. Sarah Allen of Marietta, Georgia, Mrs. Christine
Bishop and Mrs. Ruby Heitt, both of Nashville and Mrs. Clara Pearl Spann
of Charlotte.
