Obituary of
MISS FRANCES BRADLEY KENNEDY
DECEMBER 9, 1977
Miss Frances Bradley Kennedy, 71, retired teacher died this morning
in Memorial Hospital following an extended tended illness. She was a resident
of the Oakland Community
Services will be held at 2 p.m Sunday at the in Greenwood
Cemetery by the Rev William Tober.
The body is at Tarpley's Chapel until the hour of service.
Miss Kennedy was born April 25, 1905 in Montgomery County, daughter
of the late
James R and Rubye Collier Kennedy.
A graduate of Clarksville High School. She receIved the B S and M degrees
from George Peabody College. She taught in the Clarksville and Mongtomery
County School Systems from
1924 until she retired in 1971. She was a member of the Montgomery
County Farm Bureau, a member of Spring Creek Baptist Church, the Montgomery
County retired Teachers Association, the National Council of Mathematics,
and Tennessee Mathematices Teachers Association.
Survivors are the three sisters, Miss Sallie L. Kennedy, Oakland
Community, Herndon Allen
Clarksville, Mrs. Robert Gutherie, Ky., several neices and nephews
Pallbearers will be Herndon Allen. John J Stevenson, Melton Taylor, Hugh Kennedy, Durwood Anderson, and and Dr. Howard Kennedy.
