Alex Bridgewater

Alex "Pete" Bridgewater, 84 of 332 Main St., died Tuesday at Memorial Hospital after an extended illness.  (Dec. 6, 1983)

The funeral will be at 2 p.n. Wednesday at Sykes Funeral Chapel with Mike Moore and Tillman Taylor officiating.  Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.

Visitation will be until the hour of service.

Bridgewater was born Oct. 18, 1899, in Montgomery County, son of Herman Bridgewater and Effie Nichols Bridgewater.  ]

H was a retired service station operator.

Survivors include his wife, May Rogers Bridgewater.

Pallbearers will be Dick Cooper, Bill Cannady, Ed Hadley, Jr., John Lucas, Dick Lindsey, George Graiggs, Mike Moorefield and John Cannady.
