remarried a man by the last name of Brown. She and Erchell had five children together.
Also, looking for information on the DENTON AND MCCUEN families from
Clarksville. Charlie DENTON m. Martha Jane MCCUEN. All of the children
from this marriage is unknown except for Dora and Martha. Martha stayed in
Clarksville and took care of Martha during her older years.

HENRY CLAY PATTEN b. ? d. 1917 was a prominent land-owner in the area of the Forest Hill community in Montgomery Co. Tn
He married in the year 1867,Cordelia Ann Merrifield b.1843 d.1906, daughter of
Davis Merrifield b.1798 d.?, and Lucy Ann Gregory b.1814 d.?
It was told to me that Henry Clay Patten was buried at the Grant Cemetary
on the Coppage Farm.
Their daughter, my great grandmother was Araminta(MINTA) Patten b.7/14/1870
d.1/19/1960 who married WS (Sam) Gray, a blacksmith. They were married in 1890
at the Forest Hill Christian Church by the Rev Willie Grant. They resided in
Sadlersville until moving in 1894 to Guthrie, KY until their deaths.

Possibly born in Maryland, Benjamin Thomas lived in Anson County, (later
Richmond) NC. He moved to Marlborough County, SC. In 1784, he received
a land grant for service in the NC Line. Situated on the East Fork of
Lick (later Budd's) Creek, this land was located in what became
Montgomery County, TN. Benjamin removed to TN in 1796 where he was Capt.
in the First County Militia. He bought more land along Budd and Yellow
Creek before moving to Hickman County prior to 1820. I also have
information on Benjamin's relatives that lived nearby. I Wonder what
eventually happened to Benjamin Thomas, and I am also seeking the names
of his descendents.

a land grant for service in the NC Line. Situated on the East Fork of
Lick (later Budd's) Creek, this land was located in what became
Montgomery County, TN. Benjamin removed to TN in 1796 where he was Capt.
in the First County Militia. He bought more land along Budd and Yellow
Creek before moving to Hickman County prior to 1820. I also have
information on Benjamin's relatives that lived nearby. I Wonder what
eventually happened to Benjamin Thomas, and I am also seeking the names
of his descendents.
