Clara Haxall BEAUMONT, daughter (1815-1893) of Dr and Mrs William
BEAUMONT married Rev. Ambrose Baxter RUSSELL of the Episcopal Church
on 9 November 1848 in Montgomery County. After Clara Haxall BEAUMONT
RUSSELL's death before 1852 (she and her infant son are buried in
Clarksville) , Rev RUSSELL remarried to an Augustine VOLLENVEIDER and
they had 8 children including an Augustine Maria RUSSELL who married
a Dr SLAYDEN and had a daughter Adele SLAYDEN who married Dr R B
MACON of Clarksville. I would like to know more about Clara Haxall

Trying to find parent's (documentation/ a clue or hint) for John G.
DIX, born 1838 TN. Found in 1850 in Montgomery Co TN (1286-442) with
mother Frances age 42 (last name spelled DICKS on census), sisters
Rebecca age 18 & Lucy age 16. John married Emma WILLIAMS 17 Mar 1866
Todd Co KY, daughter of Turner William Williams. The family is found
in Graves Co KY in 1870 and back in Montgomery Co TN in 1880
(District 16). Children: Willie A. born Jan 1870 TN died 27 May 1874
in Clarksville, Montgomery Co TN, Inez born 1871 died 8 Apr 1874 of
meningitis in Montgomery Co TN, Ella born 1874, Guthrie, Todd Co KY
(my great grandmother), Willie born 1876 TN, Sue born 1878 TN, & John
Henry born 1880 TN.
Ella DIX married Frank KELLAM @ 1890 (probably in Nashville TN),
family stories indicate it was an "arranged marriage". Frank was the
son of Henry Thomas KELLAM and Virginia GAMBRALL.

Searching for any information on family of John W. BROWN, b. 1 Dec
1800 (S.C.?), grew up near Spring Creek, Montgomery Co., TN. John
BROWN left TN in Sep 1821 to study law in Louisville, KY, eventually
wound up in Arkansas. No evidence that he ever returned to
Montgomery Co., however, his family remained there. In his diary, he
refers to younger brothers William and James C. BROWN and his beloved
parents -- but he never names the parents. Diary also has a
reference to Uncle Drake and Sunday dinner "in the good old Irish
mode - brought from S.C." Would appreciate any information on this
Brown family of early Mont. Co.

G. Adams (1819-1855) He is married to Henrietta Paine Adams 1840 in
Robertson Co. They are near Port Royal. The court Minutes show that
his Mother, Elizabeth Conley Adams (bn Tn 1804-@1870) is the daughter
of George Conley, (bn Md and in Robertson Co 1802-@1870). Geo Conley
is shown on the road work orders Port Royal to Springfield as is
George Adams , the father of my William G. Adams. My Wm. G Adams, bn
1854, marries Alberta Charlotte Northington. She is the daughter of
David Northington and Sarah Wade northington. Ideas on the burial

Interested in finding out more about Henry BAGGETT (b. 19 Feb 1859;

from a gunshot wound - homocide. Looked for a story in the Leaf

BELLAMY, Scott and Hester. Apparently were Not the slaves of Jerry
BELLAMY of Mt. Cnty,. Scott was born in 1836 in TN, died before
1900; Hester was born in 1848, died in 1906. Hester had 15 children,
most of whom lived to adulthood. Hester lived for many years in
Clarksville, and worked as a laundress. Her 1900 address was on 1st
St. Descendants are in MN, LA, and possibly FL. Since both deaths
occurred before TN began keeping death records, am looking for church
names, Black undertaker's, school names, etc., from this period, or
any information from someone familiar with this name.

James BEAUMONT, born in England, age 33 died of sunstroke in July
1850 in Montgomery County (refer to the Records of TENNESSEE
MORTUARY, MONTGOMERY CO., TN 1850 Screen 1 of 5) [from CD 164
Mortality Records 1850-1880 ref B553 extracted in a look up by Will
at moneymaker@bigfoot.com). Can anyone tell me if it is possible to
find if more records are available regarding this death and his
family situation.

Thomas W. WISDOM was according to Beach's book, Along the Warioto
(p.139), listed in the Clarksville Directory of 1859 as being an
Attorney-at-Law. He had an office on Strawberry Alley between Public
Square, Second Street, Franklin and Main Streets. Previously, on 6
March 1855, Thomas had married Clara BEAUMONT, probably a daughter
of Henry F BEAUMONT and Sarah G. [ANDERSON] BEAUMONT of Clarksville.
