The Morgan County Genealogy Room is located in the "new"  Archive Center,
which is housed in the former Morgan County Jail Building in Wartburg.

check that was presented by Secretay of State Tre Hargett.

Funds will be used to purchase archive materials for preservation of old 
Morgan County records now being stored in the Vault at the 
Morgan County Archive & Family History Building.

Below are a few photos of the old records from the Morgan County Court House
that are now being stored and preserved in the Vault.
The vault was the old "drunk tank" in the former jail building.
A lot of work is still ahead as these records are cataloged, sorted and stored.
