Deed Book A, p 306, Nov 25, 1843, Morgan County:
Bill of Sale for three negroes for $1203 from Shadrach Stephens, Executor, to Daniel Stonecipher; "Barney" a man slave about 24 years old and "Critty" about 15 years of age.  The third slave, not named, was most likely the child of Barney and Critty.

Daniel bought an eight year old negro boy named Reuben, "sound in body and mind and healthy and a slave for life".  Reuben was sold for $376.99 by W. L. Gentry.  Witnessess Jesse and Martin Stonecipher.
