MORGAN COUNTY, TN DEEDS: -Found documentation that the wife of Dillard McPETERS was Mary Ann GODDARD, daughter of Joseph GODDARD and Rachel STONECIPHER.

Tennessee, Morgan County Deeds, Vol. O, pg 500-502 (original Vol. O, pg 435-437)

Heirs of Samuel J. GODDARD (Joseph GODDARD, Rachel R. GODDARD, Dillard
McPETERS and Mary Ann McPETERS, Phebe J. McCOY, Andrew GODDARD and R.W.
HUDSON and Elizabeth HUDSON) to John W. WEBSTER. 25 Acres in consideration
of $60. 18 May 1870.

***Loudon County, Tennessee said Mary A. McPETERS examined separately from
her husband Dillard McPETERS - dated 3 Dec 1870
Tennessee, Morgan County Deeds, Vol. N, pg 139 (original Vol. N, pg 158)

Samuel STONECIPHER to Rachel McPETERS, 25 Acres deed of Gift, indenture
dated 31 Mar 1858

In the 1850 census, Rachel GODDARD was found in Morgan Co., with most of
her children living with her.  In the 1860 census, Rachel was married to
Jonathan McPETERS, the widower of Hopa HALL.  By 1870, Jonathan age 69, is
living in the household of his son John McPETERS.

This deed points to Rachel GODDARD being the daughter of Samuel STONECIPHER
and Pheba CURTIS, her year of birth and place of birth make perfect sense
with this couple as parents.
