The Petition of JESSEE BRASEL respectfully submits that he is living near Crooked Fork Morgan County Tennessee and that JAMES BRASEL his deceased brother {resided?} in Same Place butt no executor or administrator to make gov’mt affiliations{?Claims?} That he has a claim against the United States for supplies for the army 23 Army Corps Army of the Ohio taken in Morgan County Tennessee as follows:

Three thousand Pounds of Hay at $1per Hundred 30.00
One hundred bushels of corn at $1 per bushel 100.00
40 Bushel Oats at 50 cts. Per lbs 20.00
1000 Pounds Hay at other Date 10.00
50 Pounds Bacon at 20 cts Per Pound 10.00
Value of property $170.00 ....used by Captain ALEXANDER Belonging to First Regiment Ky Cav ... 23 army corps Army of the Ohio commanded by Major SAMUEL BURNSIDES and taken to camp. That no voucher, receipt or other writing was given therefor only a receipt for a Part of this amount the slip of Writing is on file in quarter Master office or lost .... That J.S. FRITTS of Wartburg Morgan Co Tennessee is hereby authorized and empowered to act as an Attorney for the prosecution of this claim.JESSE BRASEL (signature) April 5, 1872
