WILLIAM SUMMERS
REV. BENJAMIN TOLIVER SUMMERS

Previously unidentified photos!

Copies of these same two photos have been found by Kim Barnes.  She was looking thru her grandmother's (Nydia Donahue Galloway) old family bible and noticed that the back side of the bible was coming apart and appeared to be thicker in one place than any where else. The cardboard looked as if it had gotten wet and had split apart at the top.  Closer inspection revealed two photos down in between the layers of cardboard.  The backs of the photos had names and dates.  The scanned images below are the backs of the photos and correspond with the photos directly above....

William Summers, 1832, South Carolina
"For my Darling Clarissy"
[Clarissy was Clarrisa Staples, Williams Wife]
1858,  "Our Wonderful Son"
Rev. Ben T. Summers
[Rev. Benjamin Toliver Summers]

Photos owned by
Mrs. Elgiva Todd
Wartburg, TN

These photos were found in the photo collection of her Grandmother, Rachael Summers.
The actual photo is small and is glued to a cardboard type background.
