• Formerly White Brothers Furniture and Undertaking Company, First Street, Union City
• 1922: Mr. J. L. Ranson bought out Willie White
• 1924: Moved present location on Washington Avenue

• 1924: Gus B. White bought one-half interest in McCaw Furniture
• 1926: R. W. Mahon bought interest of J. W. McCaw after his death and the business became McCaw-White Furniture and Undertaking Business.
• 1926: The Obion County Burial Association and Mutual Burial Association serving White-Ranson, White-Mahon and King Funeral Homes organized at Troy. Offices: at White-Mahon. By 1939, over 10,000 members.
• Eventually, the furniture business ended and the funeral home in Troy was run by R. W. Mahon, John Moffatt and Gus B. White, Jr.
• 1949: Death of R.W. Mahon in 1949 and Gus B. White, Jr. purchased the business
• 1977: Mr. White died, son Gus B. White III bought the business from his estate.
• Some obits best found in microfilm records of the Daily Messenger at the Obion County Library.
• King Funeral Home: 3 Feb. 1999, Dorothy Grisham located the KING Funeral Home records. When White Ranson Funeral Home in Union City, Obion Co., TN bought Kings, they also accrued the records (what few there are).  She  was told by an employee there that a lot of the records were lost by fire. There is one big, thick, heavy book (alphabetically listed) with records staring in 1935 through 1966 with a lot of years missing.
