If you aren't able to visit Obion Co to do your research, can't find the information on-line, or from a look-up volunteer, write me for a quick response. I will go out and look for and copy genealogy records here in Obion and surrounding counties. I have no resources at home so do not do 'look-ups'.
 
Requests for "any or all information on your family" will not be considered. There are 10s of 1000s of records available for searching at the courthouse and library. Simply tell me what you are trying to determine. The more specific the request, the less time it will take.
 
Some of the records or publications available for copying are listed on the Obion Co Library, Tennesse Room web site >> http://oclibrary.org/genealogy.htm <<. Other information can be found at the Obion Co Couthouse, White Ransom Funeral Home, local cemeteries, and in courthouses in nearby TN and KY counties.
 
As much as I enjoy genealogy and would like to help everyone with their research, I cannot do it all day, everyday, for everyone, at no charge. I will tell you how long it took to go out find and copy the records, and any copy, postage, or traveling costs to other counties.  All I expect is a quick reimbursement of my expenses and compensation for my time. Most records can be retrieved in less than an hour if an approximate date is provided. The rate for record SEARCHES (the eye and leg work) is $10/hour, and for doing your RESEARCH (the thinking part) $20/hour.
