Good .... can be had in private families as well as the hotel, prices ranging from $3.50 to $5.00 per week according to accommodations. Families living in the city and wishing to spend a part of the summer in the county could not find a more delightful contryside than in and around Troy. Troy is reached by the Illinois Central R. R., 101 miles north of Memphis, 280 miles south of Louisville and 200 miles east of St. Louis. All visitors going to Troy should leave the cars at Polk where hacks meet every train to convey passengers over to Troy, a delightful drive of about three miles. For further information address
