William Warren

Elijah Warren, bootmaker, hatmaker, and farmer born Feb. 22, 1799 in Johnston County N. Carolina, died 1877, youngest son of Mary Polly Ingram Warren.  Elijah married lst Charlotte (Lottie) Campbell, died before 1834.  2nd wife Gathasa (Gatsy) Barber, daughter of Allen and Martha Kilpatrick Barber.
Agricultural Census for 1860 shows Elijah living on 200 acres on Coon Creek, Perry County, Tennessee, near Linden.  Farm values at $300.00.

 

Pictured here at the Cave Spring, on Ross Warren Farm, Coon Creek, Perry County, along with his oldest son Alvin Warren.   Born 1821 and died 1909.  Alvin fought in the Civil War on the Confederate side and his son, William H. (Billy) Warren fought on the Union Side.  Alvin married 1st Serena Hilburn, had 5 sons, and then Mary Barber Dowdy.  The youngest Ross Warren, is the farm where this photo is taken.
