Civil War (1861 - 1865)

 

 

  • According to the Tennessee State Library and Archives (TSLA),  they have a published list of Tennesseans who served in Confederate and Union units from Tennessee, in separate lists.  The name, rank and unit of the soldier is given.  If you e-mail TSLA with the name of the individual, they can check the listing.  For more information, please visit their website. 

  • TSLA also has published sources which provide brief histories of each unit from Tennessee, listing officers, marches and batles, etc.  If you can identify the unit, they can photocopy the unit history.
