Seller
Enoch Hooper to Thomas Young
Description; For the sum of Three Hundred Dollars in hand paid the receipt
whereof is hereby acknowledged and presents do grant, bargain, sell,
convey and confirm unto the said Thomas Young and his heirs 25 acres on
Roans Creek.
Witnessess: Moses Cotham and A. Coleman
Registers office March 1rst day A. D. 1841. Then was
this deed of conveyance from Enoch Hooper to Thomas Young, the Clerk's
certificate and this certificate all duly registered in book "E", page 5
by me.

Jesse Gray
to M. Irven
Description; Know all men by these presents that I Jesse Taylor Gray of
the County of Perry and State of Tenn. for and in consideration of the sum
of Five Hundred Dollars to me in hand, paid by Matthew Irven of the county
of Franklin and State of Alabama the receipt of which is hereby
acknowledged that this day bargained and sold, conveyed and confirmed unto
the said Matthew Irven a certain negro woman named Hannah, about 23 years
of age or thereabouts and the said Jesse Gray for himself, his heirs,
executors and administrators hath covenant and agree to and with the said
Matthew Irven that the said negro woman Hannah is a slave for life, sound
and healthy and that he has a good and lawful title to her and can
lawfully give the same, and hath further bind himself his heirs executors
and administrators to warrant and defend the title to the said negro woman
Hannah to him the said Matthew Irven his heirs and assigned forever
against the claim of all and every person or persons whatsoever. In
testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this 14"
day of April 1841.
In
Presence of Curry Pettigew Jesse Gray and Wm. O. Britt
State of
Tenn. This day personally appeared before me R. C. Graham, Clerk of
the Perry Co., County Court of said County of Perry, Jesse Gray with whom
I am personally acquainted and acknowledged the foregoing bill of sale to
be his act and deed for the purpose therein contained upon the day it
bears date. Given under my hand at office this 15" day of April 1841.

This indenture mad the 25 day
of January one thousand & Eight hundred & forty one between Thomas J
Doherty of the County of Perry & State of tennesee of the one parte &
Woodson Daniel of the county & State aforesaid of the other parte,
witneseth that the said Thomas J Doherty for in considration of the sum of
four hundred Dollars to me in hand paid by the said W Daniel the receipt
where of is hearby acknowledged hath granted bargained & sold above
confirmed & by these presants doth grant bargain sell above & confirm unto
the said Woodson Daniel his heirs & asigns forever all that claim tract or
parcle of land lying & being in the county of perry & state afore said on
Crooked Creeke near
the mills East of tennessee River & Rounded as followes. Beginning at a
poplar & White oak on the South side of said creek runing North one
hundred & seven poles crosing said creek to a chesnut & sowerwood Hence
East one hundred & ninety four poles to a stake hence south one hundred &
seven poles to a stake thence Weste one hundred & ninety four & 4/10 poles
to the begining, containing one hundred & 30 acres to have & to hold the
said barganed premuin unto the said Woodson Daniel his heirs
execution & administrators & asigns for ever with all & every profit
arising & their from & the Thomas J Doherty doth covant for myself my
heirs & asigns to warrant & forever Defend the right & title of.
The above discribed premises with all the apperances their unto
belonging to the said W Daniel his heirs & a sign forever against the
claim or claimes of any person or persons whatsoever In testamoney where
of I the said Thomas J Doherty have hear unto let my hand & afixed my
seal.
This day & date above writen sign seald & Delivered in front of us.

after being first sworn deposeth & say that Thomas J Doherty sign the fore

Description; 35 acres for the amount of $202.62 for property on the east
side of Coon Creek and the Buffalo River.
