In The Messenger, Union City, TN, October 1998

 

Elmer A. Dickson, 94, of Kenton died Oct. 21, 1998, at Union City Manor Nursing Home.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Karnes Funeral Home-Kenton, with Kevin Thomason and Everett Hufford officiating. Burial will follow in Sunnyside Cemetery in Kenton.  Friends may call at the funeral home 6-9 this evening.

He was born Jan. 25, 1904, in Linden, son of the late James Bedford and Lanora (Ward) Dickson. He was the widower of Geraldine Dickson and was a retired carpenter.

Survivors include a daughter, Sue Green of Kenton; a sister, Evelyn Kaechle of Portage, Ind., and four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.

He was also preceded in death by a son, Arlenda Dickson.
