OBITUARY for James T. Ward- 16 Sept 1965

"Funeral Services Held Friday for James T. Ward"

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday at McDonald Funeral Home, for James Thomas Ward, 84. Rev. N. F. Lancaster officiated. Burial was in Sutton Cemetery on Marsh Creek.

Mr. Ward died Thursday at Perry County Hospital after a long illness. He was a native of Perry County, son of the late Reuben and Sallie Dickson Ward. He was a resident of Marsh Creek, where he lived his entire life. He was a member of the Methodist Church.

Survivors are his widow, Mrs. Lena Ward, six daughters; Mrs. Hessie Wiley, Rutherford, Tenn; Mrs. Lucille Dabbs, Parsons, Tenn, Mrs. Pauline Rigsby, Mrs. Elizabeth Ramey and Mrs. Mittie Pearl Mealer, all of Nashville, and Mrs. Mary James of Waynesboro; two brothers, Laury Ward of Linden and Grady Ward of Mt. Pleasant, Tenn; two sisters, Mrs. Lillie Evans, Fowlkes, Tenn; and Mrs. Ethel Pollock, Wayne, Mich.; 27 grand children and several great grandchildren.
