Perry County, Tennessee

Photos

I've been thinking about a good way to showcase people's family photos and also have an organized manner to include them in this website.  Here's the kind of photos that I think we'd like to have on this website:

  • Family Photos -of a person or a family unit.

            -  If a person lived in Perry County and was buried in Perry County, then his or her picture will be included in the listing for whatever cemetery he was buried in.  Please see the Nix Cemetery as an example of a cemetery that has both tombstone pictures and photos of the people when they were alive.

            -  If you know that a person was buried in Perry County, but you don't know where -please check our every name search engine first. (click here).   If after checking this, there is not listing, please submit their name, birth and death date and family information.  We will be setting up a page for "unknown burial places of Perry County residents" page.

  • Photos of tombstones or cemeteries

            -  these will be included on the page for each cemetery.  If we do not have a listing up for the cemetery where your ancestor is buried, please send me the picture anyway.  I will give priority to putting cemetery listings up where people have given me pictures - either of tombstones or the person himself.

  • Photos of churches

            -  These will be included on the "churches" page.  I would particularly like older photos, but a current photo would be fine where an older photo is not available.

If you have any of these pictures that you would like to share, please contact Jan Monnin, your Perry County TnGenWeb coordinator.
