American Revolution Soldier Project

The objective of this project is to
compile a complete list for soldiers and sources who lived in Perry County
Tennessee and fought in the American Revolution.

Perry County was not in existence at
the time of the Revolution, however, this project will encompass soldiers who
lived in the Perry County area at any time during their life and fought in the
Revolution.

This will be an ongoing project.

As more online sources about Perry
County soldiers are posted and discovered, they will be indexed to this
project.
If you know of
any source for the American Revolution soldiers that have mention of Perry County
residents, please transcribe the information for the Perry County soldiers and

My 4th Ggrandfather James Kelly was
a Rev. War Veteran. His Pension Application, National number is
S1544. He is listed on the Rev. War Veterans of Western TN.
He was born abt. 1760 in
Pittslyvania County VA., raised a family in SC & was living with his
son William Kelly in Perry County TN for the 1840 Census. 2nd part
of page 160 of Census shows he was a Rev. War Pension recepient.
