on David and/or Obediah PINKSTON. David wasborn in 1796 in Rowan

Amherst Co in 1761. He served in the Rev. War[2 REGT VAMILITIA],
lived for awhile in NC {Burke & Wilkes Co.], prior tomoving to Knox
Co c1793-95. He and his wife Elizabeth Lindsay andbrother Mitchell
Childress, Sr. lived in the Bull Run Valley [nowHeiskel] area of
north Knox Co. He died Jan 11 1849 and was buried inthe Mt Harmony
Baptist Church Cemetery on Racoon Valley Rd. just ofI-75. His son

Searching for family
of Martin VanBuren RICHARDSON, b 13 May 1841 in Bradley Co., TN. He
joined the Confederate Army from Bellefonte, AR in 1862 and at about
the same time, he married Narcissa KING. Their children: (1) Wesley b
1863, (2) Amzie Tilford b 1866 and (3) Bellzora b 1868. He deserted
this family during the war's aftermath. Finally, I found him in
Slaughter, LA where he died 11 Nov 1923. Here he had another wife and
three daughters, names unknown, and one son named Willie. Any ideas

My MOORE
family, and related FINDLEY family came to Knox & Roane Co.Tn. from
Ireland in the late 1700s. My direct ancestor was Hugh A.Moore, his
brother, William Moore married Unity Tucker in 1813 inRoan Co. Tn and
later moved to McMinn Co. Tn. where they raised theirfaimily and
lived the rest of their lives. Hugh A. & Williamssister, Janie
married John TUCKER in 1816, their brother George,married Sally RICE
in 1814 and my Hugh A. Moore was brought to courtby a Polly TUCKER
who said he was father of her child in 1818. MyHugh A. was
married to a Mary ?? and they had a daughter, Charlottein 1818 in Tn.
possibly Mary and Polly the same woman? I wonderwhere in Ireland
the Moores were from? I heard they sailed fromDublin, Ireland and
Williams obit says he came here when "young" andlanded in the
vicinity of Washington, D.C. then came to east TN. Itgave his age as
76 when he died Aug. 8, 1862. I would like to hearfrom anyone
interested in these lines, many went to Mo. and Ark bythe

My 5th G'Grdf was Henry GOTCHER, m: Rachel
LARKIN in New Kent Co., Vaabt 1765. Had sons Henry., William A.
Jesse, SamuelJoshua and dau's Mary, Martha, Rachel. Children listed
as beingborn in NC and Tn. Henry reportedly operated a ferry on the
HolstonRiver in Eastern Tn. In 1780's Henry, John and Joshua bought
landon the Saluda River in Northern SC. In early 1800's he was in the
land lottery in Ga. Recieved nothing. Next he was inFranklin, Co. Tn.
and operated business in Winchester andbought and sold land in that
area. Sons Henry, Jr. and John wereinstrumental in starting
Primative Baptist Churches in the area and were members of the Elk
River Baptist Assc.They all later migrated to Franklin - Lawrence
Co.'s, Al . Fromthere some went back to Tn. and the rest went west

great-grandmother was Indian. Her name was AmandaParrot, born
1861(?). Her father was Allan Parrot,born 1822(?), andher mother

Census reports for 1840
show the Harveys, Nancy, Martha, & familywithout male head of family
as being in the "Indian Territories".We have only the Martha Ann
Harvey as our great grandmother, with nodate of death. Some
relations in Tennessee insist she was also"Maggie Epps."

I'm researching my Stiles Geneology. I'm
looking for the parents ofJohn Stiles, born in 1780, in Laurens
County, South Carolina, marriedto Margaret Lynch in 1800. Margaret
Lynch was born in 1790 inHuntland, Franklin, Tennessee. She died in
1838. Her parents wereAaron Lynch, born about 1750 and Polly born
about 1752. John Stilesdied in Lincoln County, Tenness on November
3, 1825. John Stiles andMargaret Lynch had Francis Seaborn Stiles in
1812 in South Carolina. He died November 5, 1874. He had Francis
Newton STiles in 1838 inLincoln County, Tennessee. Matilda was the
mother of Francis NewtonStiles, Francis Seaborn Stiles wife. Francis
Newton Stiles marriedElizabeth Stiles. Then, he married Marina Floyd
Thomas Stiles. Marina Floyd Thomas Stiles was the sister of Eliza
Thomas, the wifeof Jim Stiles, who was the borther of Francis(Frank)
Newton Stiles. The Eliza Thomas and Marina Floyd Thomas were sisters.

Looking for any information on Perrin Hollow,
TN. It was suppose tobe settled by Joseph PERRIN . He fought in the
Revolution from NJ,for which he was granted some land in SC. After
about 3 years, hesold out and moved west. While traveling down a
small river byFlatboat, he noticed a large spring halve way up a
slope and runningoff into the river. He put ashore and settled there
starting a gristmill. Would like more information on that location
and a descriptionof just where it is located.

PRENTICE, PRENTIS, PRENTISS. We are looking
for any informationabout a Robert Prentice, Prentis, Prentiss Family
who was in DeKalband Smith Counties, TN. He may have been born in VA
