GOINGS - GOINS: Elizabeth ("Hester"?) b~1790 d.1850-60 came to Davidson Co. from NC between 1823 & 1831 w/1st son, Alexander b~1822. Listed in 1850 census. She had 2 other sons there: Andrew Davis GOINGS b.1/5/1831 d.8/1899 m.1853-56 Mary STRAFFORD b.~1838; and Thomas b.~1832 m.Mary. All moved to Graves Co. KY about 1856. This is as far back as we can get. Would love to go back further & will gladly trade info.

I am trying to find out if Caleb Winters ever recieved his 640 acres of land that he was granted in 1780 for defending the area of Nashville along with James Robertson and the other original settlers. Caleb's father Moses recieved his land in Robertson County but there is no trace of proof that Caleb ever recieved his.This is all on record in the archives and I have copies of the original documents.Please help me! I am a direct descendant and need to solve this matter on behalf of my family.

Researching James FORD who died in Montgomery County in 1807. He came to Tennessee about 1780, probably from South Carolina. He was an officer in the militia in Davidson County and a member of the territorial legislature and the 1796 state constitutional convention. He ran a ferry on the Red River. Looking for information on his family especially his children. Did he have a son James, Jr?

ROBINSON, Fielding b. c1788 d. 1863 aka Fielding ROBERTSON, Field ROBERTSON/ROBINSON, also Fields ROBERTSON. Married Susannah SHELTON b. c. 1798 d. 1858 in Grainger County on 7 Sep 1813. Fielding Susannah moved from Grainger County TN to Muhlenburg County KY in about 1840. He is noted in court records as serving many times on juries in Grainger County from 1816-1820. I seek information on Fielding's family and ancestors and those of Susannah SHELTON, aka Nancy SHELTON. Their children were: Wiley B., Cynthia, Michael, Elizabeth, Martha, Allen, and William Eaton Robinson. Fielding died in Muhlenburg County KY. I have complete information on his descendants: He is my GGGGrandfather.

I am interested in information on Joel Phelps ancestors and decendants. Joel was born about 1804 probably in NC. He married 7-7-1825 in Sumner Co. TN. He married Sally Wilson, daughter of John Wilson and Anne Meek. Joel and Sally had two children born in TN. daughter Mary Jane born 6-30-1826 and a son. Joel and his family of four was in Graves Co. Ky before 1833. He was a land owner in Graves Co. KY 1833,36,38,40,48. Sally died in Hickman, KY, Fulton Co.after 1882. Mary Jane married Robert Paine Nance.
