I need any information at all on Cherokee ALEXANDERS in TN orKY. Can anyone tell me the history behind why Cherokees would haveleft TN and gone to KY ca 1800? James W. Alexander and family came toCA ca 1859. I have copies of affidavits from Native Americans in theCapay Valley, CA stating they knew the Alexanders to be Cherokee. Ihave not found him on any roles. Does anyone have a suggestion whereI can turn for information? I could certainly use the help. Pleaseemail. Thank you.
