Looking for information on Charles DAY. All I know so far is he hadpossibly five children, named; Nathan DAY, Absolum DAY, ElizabethDAY, Mary DAY and Miles T. DAY. The Cherokee side of my family were known as IVY/IVEY. Theyeventually ended up in Campbell County, TN. There appear to be no Ivysurnames in any of TN before 1840. I am looking for information on my great-grandmother. I had justfound out that see was adopter off of the reservation in Oklahoma. Ialso found out from a cousin that in the early 1980s? that two of myaunts that were her daughters received letters informing them thatthey had land available on the reservation if they would move there,but that they destroyed the letters. Their names were Alice andDorothy and the surname listed was Sargent. My great-grandmother'sname was Mary Margaret (? spelling) her adopted surname was Fortner.

ARMSTEAD,MASON,PONDS,BOOZERS, PARKS

Looking for information on my greatgrandmother and her family. Idon't know the county in TN. Her name was Ida ARMSTEAD. She moved toConway County, AR and married John Bascom "Backy" PONDS December 24,1891 when she was18 & he was 23. Also "Backy"s second wife, Ada orElla MASON,was also from TN. They seemed to have married about 1903.Her mother's name was Mariah MASON and her sister's name was Arabella PARKS. All of them were listed as Mulattos. I knew GGF Backy. Hewas related to the BOOZER family and unless you knew them, you'd notknow they were African-Americans. The PONDS and BOOZERS wereoriginally from SC. Thank you for any help with any of theseancestors.

PARKER, COKER

I am looking for an information on parents of IRA SIMON PARKER bornin macon cnty,tennessee. he married MARY JANE COKER 1840-1851. theyhad6 children,FANNIE,ANNA,SAMUEL B,JAMES JEFFERSON,DEMPSEY andMATILDA. IRA had brothers, named HARVEY BURTON,NEWTON,JOHN and JAMESJEFFERSON. IRA left tennesse in 1857 and moved his family to capegiradeau, missouri. MARY JANE died in 1862 and he remarried a widowwith childrem named MELINDA SIMPSON. They had 10 more children,EMMA, OLIVER, ALFRED, ELLA JANE, BURT, CLAUDE,SARA ETTA ,ROY and IRA.Shortly after the marriage to MELINDA they moved to nebraska . hisbrother, Harvey Burton married a couple of times I believe and endedup in Hodges Park,Il. He operated a general store there and was lastheard of in 1895,but had lived there for many years. No record of hiswives or family. IRA'S brother NEWTON apparently lived in Arkansasand ha two sons who were doctors. One practicing in custer Ok. Ifanyone can shed some light on the parentage of MARY JANE COKER, ORIRA
