ADKISSON CEMETERY

In Trezevant, Tennessee turn east onto Big Buck Road and drive about 1.5 miles to a point now situated by a gate entering a long driveway leading to a large frame house, on what was once an Adkisson family farm; behind the house, about .1 mile on an open rise is this burial ground, now virtually obliterated; there were once fieldstones to mark some graves here (as remembered by long-time resident, Mrs.Billie Jones, to the writer).

The death certificate of TOM ADKISSION,1836-August 15,1915 MAY indicate his burial here in what was also called the Phillips graveyard.
