Rutherford
County is located in Middle Tennessee,
one of the three "grand divisions" of Tennessee.
The county seat is the beautiful old city of
Murfreesboro and is the home of Middle
Tennessee State University . MTSU has a
student base of over
21,000 and is nowone of the largest universities in
the state of Tennessee. The Albert Gore, Sr. Research Center
is
located near
MTSU and is a goldmine for the genealogy researcher and anyone
studying Rutherford County and its people. The friendly
people who work there are always happy to help.
