I am looking for information about my great-grandfather WILLIAM SCOTT. I have no more info on him except he married NANCY AUSTIN on 10/31/1867. I have quite a lot on her but would welcome more. She was b.12/3/1846 - the daug. of WILLIAM SCOTT and JINSEY PFIFER. WILLIAM was son of NATHANIEL AUSTIN and MARY___.(both buried at Lost Creek). JINSEY was daug.of JOSEPH and LUCINDA WITT PFIFER. Seeking info on WILLIAM SCOTT who m. NANCY AUSTIN on 10/31/1867. They had children: NATTY SCOTT 1/12/1869 JAMES 12/4/1870 JOHN 9/26/1872 JINSEY SCOTT 8/23/1874 WILLIAM SCOTT 6/2/1876 JOSEPH and JOSIE 4/12/1878. Possibly they and/or some of their children moved to Lebanon, TN. and then on to Texas. NATTY SCOTT was my grandfather and he didn't speak of his family so none of his children knew their grandparents or aunts and uncles. NANCY was a granddaughter of NATHANIEL AUSTIN of Lost Creek. NATTY SCOTT was a fairly renowned preacher in White Co. about the turn of the century. Thanks for any help.

I'm looking for a long lost brother of RICHARD NEWPORT. Family lore has it that he went to Scott county and was never heard from again. RICHARD NEWPORT died in 1824. If I could get info the the first NEWPORTs in Scott County, maybe I could tie it back. Thank you.

Searching for information on the COFFMAN or TEMPLE families. They were in Scott County, in the mid-1800's. My GG-grandfather and grandmother were both born there. THOMAS COFFMAN born 1851 and ELIZABETH TEMPLE born 1850. Any information on either family is appreciated. Will share what I have on descendants.
