Co, Tennessee QueriesI am trying to find some information on my grandmother. Her name was VIOLA
ILEE SEXTON. She was born on January 1, 1920. I am not sure of her
heritage but I would like to somehow find if she was Indian (Apache). She dies
on June 2, 1964 in Scott County Hospital. Should have been married to CLYDE
SEXTON sometime in 1945.

Looking for JAMES ROSCOE BEATTY. He was born in
Tennessee, October 3, 1855. City and County Unknown. In 1884 January 15 he and SARAH
CLARKE (real last name MANNING) were issued
a marriage certificate. This certificate was never used but, it places him in
Scott Co. I was always told he lived with a doctor which said that if he worked
on the farm he could stay and go to school. He became a preacher and eventually
travelled the Oregon Trail to Washington. He died in Bellingham Washington in
1935. I'm unable to locate him at all in Tennessee. Any help or hints would be
appreciated. Census records don't have boarders or hired hands cross reference.

like to find the DAVIS family BENJAMIN belonged to.

Looking for the father of JOHN REED. John was
born in 1762, died in1838. served in the revolutionary war in South Carolina,
came to whatis now Scott county about 1796. He was married to NANCY
MORRIS. I have a copy of Fiirst National Banks Chronicle on JOHN
REED. His father was possibly NATHANIEL REED.
Both served in the revoltionarywar. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

and his wife ELLA JEANETTE THOMPSON KLINE. GEORGE
was born in 1848 in Clarion County, PA, and died Jan. 13, 1921 in Scott County.

My gggg-grandfather's name, WILLIAM CHAMBERS, is
on a bicentennial plaque on the lawn of the Scott Co. Courthouse noting his
service as a soldier of the Rev. War. I understand the man who certified WILLIAM's
name to be on that plaque, along with several others, has now passed on. Is
there anyone currently in Scott Co. who has access to the records that were used
to verify those names? I am trying to confirm William's Rev. War army unit.

I need info on the WEBB family of the Gumfork,
Angel Valley area. My great grandmother was (sounds like) ELIZA
or ALIZA or LIZA WEBB.
Her children were ULYSSIS, SAM, BILL, CORNELIUS, LOUIS,
HALL, JG. She is buried in Wright Cemetery. ANDREW
J. WEBB 1809-1891 is also buried there. I don't know if connected or not.
