It is NOT the policy of TNGenWeb to charge you.  However, it has come to the TNGenWeb's attention that some folks, when answering a query, have been asked to pay for research. The TNGenWeb does recognize it would be fair for the original query submitter to ask to be reimbursed for postage and photocopy costs when mailing back to you.  Yet, charging research fees for information pertaining to the original query would be questionable at best.   Remember, in the genealogy world , there are those “Certified” and “Professional” genealogists who are extremely worthy researchers, and then there are the “wannabes” who would have you believe that they too are worthy.
