Hugh Crawford Family Burial Ground

On 5 September 1957 John C. Crawford III transcribed the following inscriptions in the Hugh Crawford Family burial ground near Holston Institute. The cemetery was located on the farm of J. Matt. Yoakley, Rural Route 3, Blountville, Tennessee, and was very close to a runway of Tri-Cities Airport. Access in 1957 was through the Yoakley farm. Not all grave markers were transcribed. Submitted by John C. Crawford III Decatur, GA.

Information inside [brackets] are notes added by transcriber; information inside (parenthesis) are not inscribed on tombstone but are gleaned from other sources. John Crawford III also adds that Hugh and Hannah GAMBLE Crawford had a sizeable family in Sullivan Co. He was my 3rd-great-granduncle.
