HINES CEMETERY (partial)
From Blountville, go south on 394. Turn right onto Beaver Creek Road. Turn right on Old Beaver Creek Road. Turn right on Patterson Hill Road. The cemetery is on the left. Sign reads “Hines Cemetery”. As of June 2008, the sign was knocked over on the ground.
Submitted by Sharon Steele-Smith <acrabtreegirl@charter.net> who adds “My family also suspects that David L. Cross and his wife Polly Himes Cross are buried there, but we have no solid proof. There are a number of headstones and footstones with no markings. At least two of their sons are there - David Marshall Cross and Elkannah Cross.”
