Willson, William. grantee 22 October 1800

Location: Washington County

Description: 50 acres on the north side of Walkers Mountain, and on the waters of Reedy Creek a north branch of Holston River.

Notes: William Wilson married Mary Doyle in/or about 1800. Her father was a John Doyle (see below). Mary had a sister Rachel who move to Knox County about 1800 and married Nicholas Gibbs,Jr. John Doyle shows up in Knox Co about the same time with a second family by "unknown" spouse (not the mother of Mary and Rachel). He later marries again to Eva Formwalt and lives out his life in Knox Co. His Revoutionary pension record indicated he moved to Knox Co about 1799. I am trying to tie the John Doyle of Washington Co. Va and father of Mary and Rachel to the John Doyle who moves into Knox County in or about 1799. (Jones, Ronald E)
