Brown Sugar Cookies
1 1/2 cup brown sugar sifted
1/2 cup softened butter
1/2 cup boiling water
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
3 cups sifted flour
Put brown sugar and butter in mixing bowl, cream and pour hot water over it. Stir until dissolved. Add flour and soda mixed together. Flavor and drop by spoonful. Place raisin in center of each cookie.
