Coffee Cake
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup butter
2 eggs, separated, beaten
2 cups flour
2 tsp. baking powder
3/4 cup milk
vanilla
Mix in usual method and add beaten egg whites lastly.
Top:
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 tbsp. butter (generous)
1/2 tbsp. cinnamon
1/2 tbsp. flour (generous)
1/4 cup chopped nut meats
Melt butter. Put altogether and scatter over top of cake and bake in a flat tin.
