| This is a picture of Melvin J. George,
born November 27, 1892 in Laurelburg, Van Buren County, Tennessee, and
his wife, Maggie Cole George taken on their 50th anniversary in the Centertown
Community Center. I am not sure what newspaper this was in.
I'm assuming it was either in Van Buren or Warren County, Tennessee.
They were married September 13, 1920 and had four children: Lloyd George,
Colbert George, Hulen George, and Christine George Hall. Melvin George
was the brother of my great-grandmother, Hannah George Martin. Melvin
was the son of James Madison George and Margaret E. Priest George and the
grandson of Mathew George and Nancy Seamons. In 1970, they lived
in McMinnville, Tennessee.
