DRAKE CEMETERY

Drake Cemetery is located between Spencer and McMinnville off #30 Highway.

From Spencer, take #30 Hwy. south, to McMinnville. The turn off to Drake Cemetery is 7.6 miles from the courthouse square. At 4.5 miles from Spencer is Laurel Creek and a road to the right that goes to Laurel Creek Cemetery. At 6.3 miles from Spencer on the right are two or three houses and a store. This was the Worthington homestead. At 7.0 miles on the right is the Cedar Grove Community building. There will be a house on the right and a barn on the left. Just past the barn is a road beside it to the left. THere is no sign, but maps indicate it is Rascoe Rd. Go down to the end of this gravel road and turn left by the old Drake house which is on your left. You will see the cemetery on the right.  It is clean, well kept and fenced.

From McMinnville take US 70 S going north till you come to the sign indicating #30 Highway to the right. From the county line, clearly marked by a sign at the bridge over Rocky River, it is .8 miles to Harmony Church on the left. Slow down. Go on for .2 miles and take the next road to the right by a barn, no name sign on road, but maps indicate it is Rascoe Road. Go down to the end of this gravel road and turn left by the old Drake house which is on your left.  You will see the cemetery on the right.  It is clean, well kept and fenced.

A listing of burials with annotations is in OUR PEOPLE by Dr. Margaret Rhinehart. See Cemetery Index for address.
