This project is intended to provide an online repository for obituaries that have appeared in the SOUTHERN STANDARD, Warren County's newspaper. We thank them for their courtesy in allowing us to reprint these old obituaries. Additionally, contributions may be made for obituaries that have appeared in other, now defunct, newspapers such as the WARREN COUNTY TIMES, McMINNVILLE LEADER or the NEW ERA. If you have an old obituary that you would like to submit for this project, please see the Contributions section below. We will consider contributions of obituaries from other newspapers if those contributions pertain to Warren County residents. INTRODUCTION
Most of the archival copies of the SOUTHERN STANDARD are available on microfilm from the Tennessee State Library and Archives in Nashville. The microfilms may be purchased from TSLA, 411 7th Avenue North, Nashville, TN 37219.
