They had 10 children listed as follows: 1. Elizabeth R.--10/1/1858 to 8/18/1882. 2. John R. --8/26/1859 to 2/10/1864. 3. William F.--11/17/1860 to 7/24/1868 or (7/29/1868). 4. Jonah Nineveh is my grandfather. Any information on him would be helpful also. HOWARDs, looking for James HOWARD's inventory that is on roll 151 of White Co. Wills 1810 to 1825. Also interested in a Peter HOWARD and Portman HOWARD listed as tax payers in 1825. I believe they came from SC by way of KY. Portman shows up in Overton Co., TN in 1840 census. Portman had sons named Pleasant and Anderson plus two more at least born before 1810. Researching the FRANKS, MARKHAM, GANN, MCGOWAN and COOKSEY families of the White County, TN area. My ancestor is Lemuel FRANKS(b. 1790 NC). He married Huldah GANN in White County, TN. Who was the father of Lemuel Franks? So far, I have not been able to find his parentage. The FRANKS family lived in White County from ca. 1809 to ca. 1823. Also looking for information on the MARKHAM family, who also lived in White County. Abner MARKHAM served during the War of 1812 from White County. Searching for descendents of Joel and Martha Jane Gay BROOM. The BROOM family came to White Co. from Union Co., NC about 1870 and settled on Lost Creek. I have the deed where Joel BROOM gave the land for the Missionary Baptist Church on Lost Creek. Also, in the 1920's Ed Lockwood killed himself and his wife by placing a ch arge of dynamite in or under their bed. Can anyone find specific information regarding this event, perhaps from the Sparta or other area newpapers?

I am searching White Co for any information on KIRBY/KERBY/KERLY/KEARLY. John KIRBY was in White county by 1820. His son, Reuben, served in Dibrell's unit during the Civil War. Reuben KIRBY was a mail carrier between Sparta and Cooksville. He and his wife, Millie Ann (Permillia) KIRBY later moved to Cumberland county. Their children were: William Thomas KIRBY, John KIRBY, Polk Davis KIRBY, Susannah KIRBY. They moved to Rule, Carroll Co, Arkansas, by 1885. From there they moved to the North Texas area. BOYD, age 46 and his wife Matilda, age 40, living with children: Milly Jane d,age 28; Benjamin B. s, age 16; Tilman A. s, age 13; Mahala d, age 13; William M. s, age 10; Nancy P. d, age 5; Margaret d, age 3 and Emeline d, age 1. The family is found in SQ. Co., in 1860. Matilda BOYD is listed as the head of the household. Would like information on family marriages, deaths etc. Would like to know where Hugh M. BOYD is buried. William Marion BOYD married about 1870 and we would like to know who he married and where she is buried. After her death he moved to Texas.

I am looking for help in finding information about Reuben COOPER. He may have also gone by the name Nathan COOPER. He was born in Tenn December 12, 1810 and died July 7, 1880. He married Lavina PERKINS around 1832. He is buried in the Cherry Creek Cemetery in White Co. Lavina's parents were Levi PERKINS and Lucy RHEA. Any information about them would also be helpful. Searching for information on the Willis KEITHLEY (b. 1785) family of White Co, TN. Am especially interested in the son of Willis Keithley --Ambrose Keithley (b. 1817). The only information I have is the names and birthdates of Willis, his wife Nancy Lee and their children. Does anyone know where this Keithley line originated? HOFFMAN,Christopher and Mary, last name unknown. Children:Christopher M.b. c. 1814 and M. Elizabeth Catherine BISHOP, dau. of John E. BISHOP and Marie WILSON of Russell Co. Va and Warren Co. Tenn. Mary HOFFMAN, Joseph HOFFMAN, Daniel HOFFMAN, David HOFFMAN. Christopher bought a hotel in Sparta, White Co. Tenn and built a hotel called BonAIR, in White Co. Tenn. He sold the hotel to his lawer, John B. Rodges. Christopher M. HOFFMAN is in the 1850 Warren Co. Tenn Census and moved to Lawrence Co. ARKANSAS before 1860. He went to join the Civil War and was never heard from again. He left Catherine and 8 children in Arkansas. Would like to hear from anyone on this family, please e mail Barwright@aol.com.

RANDOLPH, Ruben...married to Sarah BUMBALOUGH 1825 White Co, Tn. Ruben is buried in Thomas Springs Cemetery in Cumberland Co, Tn and it is believed that Sarah, his wife is buried in White Co., Tn at Board Valley Cemetery next to her son Henry Randolph. Both of these people died in the late 1880's and I feel that someo ne in White Co may have a picture of one or both. I would dearly love to have a copy and will be willing to pay for the same. Also anyone researching this line I would like to share information.

Among their several children born in White Co were Jesse SHIRLEY, b. 1808 and John SHIRLEY b. 1810. The elder John SHIRLEY was appointed a constable in White Co on Jan. 24, 1818. I'm seeking any family, tax, court records, wills or other info on this family. They migrated to Jackson Co, AL between 1820 and 1830.
