I am seeking information on Willis KEITHLEY (or Keathley) who was born on 13 July 1785. I am interested to find out more about his father and mother, and their linage. His father's name was John and his mother's name was Elizabeth. I do know that Willis had a son by the name of James KEITHLEY who was born 13 July 1814 and died 23 February 1834. He was married to Susan HODGES. James had a son by the name of Joshua C. KEITHLEY who was born 17 June 1856 and died 30 May 1946. Joshua was maried to Rebeca!

HOLLINGSWORTH, HALEY -- Seek parents and siblings of Thomas HOLLINGSWORTH, b. 11 Jan. 1839, White Co., TN. His death certificate in 1925 gives parents' names as Henry Hollingsworth and Sally Haley, as provided by his widow, Mary Ann "Polly" Moore. His oldest son was also named Henry. Other children: Mary Tennessee, Christopher Tipton, James, Almeda J., Joseph, Pryor Crockett, and Ollie May. Have Tom and Polly's descendants, but cannot find his parents nor any siblings. My g-great-grandfather George McALLISTER married Amanda WILSON in White Co. on 10 Mar 1852. This info. was taken from the FHC IGI fiche. They had at least two children, George W. McAllister and William McAllister. I have no other info on them and would like to ask for any help possible. George W. ended up in Bowling Green, KY. William (my g-grandfather) apparently went to Scottsville, Allen Co. area of KY , married Sarah Catherine GOOSETREE in 1878. We think William was born i n 1859, Sarah was born 11 MAY 1858 in Sumner Co. TN. William died in 1879, shortly after their only child was born, William Duval McALLISTER (my grandfather).

Goodwin KILLION and Jane THARP were married in Jefferson Co., TN August 9, 1808. This is reportedly recorded in Book 1792-1840 #755, page 76 under the file for Goodwin Killen and Jane Sharp. Anyone know who Goodwin Killion or Jane Tharp's parents/family were or any other information on this couple? It is known they moved to Blount Co., AL about 1817. Prior to the move and in 1813 Goodwin signed a petition for a Peter Hoodenply to build a wagon road which crossed the Cumberland mountain from Bledsoe into White, Warren and other counties along the Kioky Trace.

Seeking info on a company of West TN militia commanded by Capt. James Cole (Coal) in the Creek War, October 1813 - January 1814. My ancestor David BROWN says in affidavits filed in 1851 and 1855 that he was drafted into this Company in Warren County TN. But the Company's records in the National Archives say the members of the Company were from White County. Maybe the men were drawn from both counties. Any clues would be appreciated.
