MASON, JARVIS, HENSLEY.
I am looking for information on Joshua and Marina Ann Jarvis Mason, who lived in White Co from about 1820 until about 1850. They both moved to White County from Hyde County, NC, but I believe that they were probably married in White County, as I believe t hat Joshua, son of Caleb, was probably only a child at the time the Masons migrated to TN. I have quite a lot of information on the family backgrounds of both Joshua and Marina, and I have information on several of their descendants--all of which I would be happy to share. I would, of course, welcome new background information, as I doubt that mine is as complete as it could be, but what I'm looking for is information on the daily lives Joshua and Marina would have led. I know that Joshua was an accomplis hed carpenter/furniture builder. I have in my possession a gateleg table he built. I would like to know when and from whom he learned this trade, also other occupations he may have had, his level of education, etc. After he and his family migrated on to Missouri, where they settled in Iron County, Joshua provided land for a school building and served as clerk of the school board for many years. I am curious to know if he was involve d in the school in White County.
As for the HENSLEY--I am searching for information on Obediah Hensley, who was a resident of White County during at least part of the time period covered by Joshua Mason's residence there. I believe both the Masons and the Hensleys left during the late 1 840's or early 1850's. Obediah married Elizabeth Ann MASON, daughter to Robert Mason and a neice to Joshua. Elizabeth died in Missouri, and Obediah remarried. His second wife was a Rease LARAMORE. I have some information on Obediah's descendants from both marriages, but I have none on his parents or on his location before he arrived in White Count. I found no Hensleys on the 1820 White County census.

I am looking for information on a Squire HUNTER and his wife, Rebecca BURDEN. According to a Goodspeed History, they grew up and were married in Tennessee. From some of the research I have done, I believe they were from White County. His parents were said to have come from North Carolina and hers were prominent in Stanton, Virginia, although I have been unable to connect to them from that end. By 1840, they were in Taney County, Missouri, and they eventually settled in Franklin County, Arkansas. Any assistance in tracking their origins would be appreciated.
