My grandmother was Ruthie Lee Cherry and was born in White County on July 17, 1875.
She Married Hiram Jasper Emberton about 1900. I am interested in finding out details of her family. I never heard her mention any brothers or sisters but I was real young at the time she died on March 1. 1952 She is buried in Baptist Ridge (Clay County)
with H.J. Emberton. My Uncle George Lee Emberton is also buried in the same cemetery.

plot. According to his will, he had a brother named John who was a justice of the peace. I am trying to find out who Morgan's father was. I know that they were in White County by 1806 and I believe they came from Rowan County, NC, but I'm not sure. Thomas and Maranda are my great grandparents. They had four children Ola May, Allie A., John Clarence "JC", and Charles Roy but we have no further information on Thomas. Family stories were that he was a 'revenuor' and was shot and killed in 1907. We would like any information on Thomas Price. If any one has any information or the White County Census for 1880, 1890. We are also looking for any living relitives in White County. We know that John Francis Herd and Minnie Smith Horton were still living in
Sparta in 1946. We would appreciate any help. And happy to share our information with you.

McCOY, Isaac A. I am searching for any information on Isaac McCOY and Elsie
(PENNINGTON) McCOY families. I have found them located in the White County 1880 census. At this time Isaac was 51 yrs old and Elsie was 35 yrs old. Their children were Lilly (10), Mary (8), Ida Sarah (5), Fredonia (3), and John Wesley (1). Isaac A. may

Need ancestors of Daniel McFarland whose will was written in White Co TN 1812 and probated in 1817. Names his sons, Lewis S., Caleb, David W., and Henderson.
He lived in Barren Co KY before coming to White Co. What happened to the sons? I have some info and will share.
