RICE

Theoderick RICE, of White Co, TN, bought land in Rhea Co, TN in 1825. He appears on White Co, TN tax records as early as 1817. Is Theoderick related to RICEs in Rhea Co, TN? Who is the Daniel RICE listed only once on White Co, TN tax record (1818)? No polls, 35 acres on Cane Creek, was he a non-resident? Is this the same Daniel RICE that was in Rhea Co, TN (1816)? That Daniel was also on tax records in Bledsoe Co, TN in the 1830s, then seems to disappear.

MADEWELL

I interested in finding the parents of Mary Madewell b 1839, Simson Madewell b 1840 and Alta J. Madewell b 1843 in White County. I believe by 1850 their parents had already died, as Mary Madewell is listed with her husband Joseph Addison Cox and son William, age 1, along with Simson and Alta J. on the ILL 1850 US census in Washington County. Any help would be very appreciated.
