Looking for info on my Stewart's. Nancy Stewart b: 1840 AL. Mother's
name Lydia ? Stewart b:1810 TN. husband of Lydia Stewart unknown but
birthplace of husband is thought possibly to have been White County,
TN. Nancy Stewart married Chapley Hampton b:1802 KY/TN she was his
second wife. Nancy Stewart Hampton lived in Jackson County, Alabama
and had several children with Chapley Hampton. One was my Grandfather
Wade Hampton b: Nov. 20, 1875. Any info on the Stewart's above I'd

I would appreciate any information on my grandmother, Alice SHELTON.
she married James Major HINDS (HINES)on 29 Dec 1891 in Sparta, county
of White, Tn. There were two children born of this marriage. Amanda
C. born Mar 1893 and Charles L. born Oct 1895. The 1900 census for
Tn. list both children living in the household of James M. HINDS and
his second wife Lou Dora Crawford. I would be interested in finding
the names of the parents of Alice SHELTON and the circumstances
surrounding the divorce/death of my grandmother.

Seeking info on ancestry and descendents of John J. McGuire who m.
Phila Ann Berry in White County, TN about 1849. Known children were
America McGuire, Nancy Jane McGuire (m. Calvin C. Vest from
Conasauga, TN). John J. McGuire was a cavalryman killed in Civil War.
Phila Ann Berry McGuire remarried to Tom Blankenship and lived at

Looking for information on Elijah Tucker and his wife Caroline
Driver. Lived in White County, TN, in an area known as Clifty. He
was in the Civil War, possibly was a spy for the Union. He
disappeared and was thought murdered around 1890, possibly connected
to his "spy" status. She died in 1916 in White Co., TN. They had a
son named Simon A. Tucker. Any info on this/these families would be
greatly appreciated.

I'm researching the HARRIS line in my family. The 1850 Illinois
Census for Williamson Co. reveals my gggrandparents were William
HARRIS - babt. 1816 and what appears to be Amey/Anney - babt.1817
(his wife); their children are: Jessee W.- 1833, Julia A.- 1837,
*Zaccariah - 1840, William S.- 1842, Zebedee - 1846 and John S -
1849. The Census states all are from White Co. TN. Any leads or

Is anyone have research or is researching on Glover REYNOLDS born
1775-1794 that lived in White county in 1820 and prior... Also a
James REYNOLDS born before 1775. I can not find Glover REYNOLDS in
1850, so thought I would see if someone in the county I first found
him in might know something about him...I strongly believe this James
most likley is a father...Would be delighted if some input could come

REYNOLDS, John Dennis b. est. 1797-1800, married about 1819 in
Tennesse to Hannah Lavina ROBINSON. Lived in Knox county, Tennessee
in 1830, can not find them in 1820. Names they used were Lavina,
Hiram, Jordon, George, William,Henry, Douglas, Alonzo Dark, Lewis J.
Perry, Marcus...John Dennis and went by Dennis in all census only
death records of children states John Dennis...parents are from Va. I
am sure White or Anderson County, Tennessee is prior to Knox. Need

Looking for any information on Foushee Garner b. 1780 and his wife
Mary (Molley) Knott Garner b. 1784 - both born in Northumberland CO,
VA. Married Feb. 9, 1807 in Northumberland CO. and moved about 1810
to White Co. Tennessee near Pigeon Roost. Foushee and Mary had 8
children - Dorcas Norris, James Jasper, Martha Patsey, Neri,
Jeremiah, Nancy, William, Mary Ann. Foushee was a farmer. The family
moved to Missouri abt. 1820, settling in Ray County in an area known
as Fishing River Hollow. Foushee died in Missouri in 1863 in Andrew
CO and Mary died in 1865 in Missouri.

I am looking for descendants of Richard Paul Price who was born in
White CO, TN in 1868 and died in White CO, TN about 1957. His parents
were Jackson and Lockey Price. Siblings were James Frazier, Sarah
Alice, Mary, Evelyn and Dempsey Elmore. Richard Paul Price was also
known as R.P. Price. His first wife's name was Florence May Hickey.
After Florence died in 1918, Richard moved back to Sparta from Ada,
OK and remarried and had another family. I am trying to locate this
family.

I just found an abstract of a divorce petition, dated 1825-1829, for
John PORTER and his wife Sarah "Sally" PORTER. The abstract states
that John and Sally married about 1776, had 11 children, and that one
daughter married George Yates. Given that the daughter might have
been born anywhere between approx. 1780 and 1810, the marriage might
have occurred anywhere between approx. 1790 and 1829. 1829 seems to
be the last date referenced in the abstract. This information came
from "Tennessee Divorces 1798-1858" by Gale W. Bamman, copyright
1985. I've not yet seen any censuses beyond the 1820 on the website.
Might anyone recognize the George Yates family? Thank you.
