I am looking for the other 6 children of William C. Freeman and his
wife Elizabeth. The three I know are Isham Hughes Goard Freeman,
John C. Freeman and Nancy Freeman. The other 6 may be all boys.
William came to Sparta, White Co.,Tn around 1810 and was found in
Murray, Walker, and Whitfield Co., GA on several census after 1830.
John, Nancy and Isham were born in Sparta. There were older children
listed on the 1820 and 1830 census of TN. Does anyone know the names
of those children? William and Elizabeth came from N.C. ,it is
thought. Would like to know anything about this family. William C.

I am researching PENNINGTON, ISHAM, and ROBINSON in White and Putnam
Counties. Specifically am trying to confirm that Mary Pennington (b
about 1783), daughter of Rev. Charles PENNINGTON, married Charles
ISHAM. They are reported to have had a child, Syrenna (b about

Just found some wonderful news on my Seth Underwood on this site and
am sooo excited I could scream! I have 3 of his sons listed in a
court item and am wondering if there were more children by Seth
UNDERWOOD and Sarah WORLEY. They came to TN abt 1811 from VA/NC and
at the time had 2 sons and 3 daughters. The 3 sons are listed as
'orphant children' of Seth and is dated Oct 18, 1822. They resided
near Sparta, White Co.,TN.

I have been looking for Newman Craig born about 1822 in Alabama and
Eda Eveline Daniel (Asberry). They were married about 1860 in White
County. I have heard they were buried in Greenwood Cemetery in White
County but have not proven it. Eda married a ? Asberry before Newman
and had a son, John Wesley Asberry. This Asberry died a few years
after John was born and since Eda married Newman, John took the
surname of Craig. There are children by this marriage and they were
born in White County. If anyone can help I would greatly appreciate

My Grandfather, Walter B. ELLSWORTH< was killed in an accident at Bon
Air Coal Mine White Co. Aug. 1918. Any information would be
helpful,his death left my mother and her siblings orphaned.They were
placed in state custody for my grandmother was unable to support
them. His death occured when he came in contact with a live
electrical. If anyone could find a newspaper account I would greatly
appreciate this.

I am searching for information about my great-grandfather, James
McBRIDE. His daughter's death certificate lists him as James E.
McBRIDE of White County, TN. He married Martha Elizabeth STACY in
1878, possibly in Sumner County, TN, and they moved to Hopkinsville,
KY. Their first daughter, Sarah Jane, was born in Hopkinsville, KY,
on April 13, 1880. Martha was pregnant with their 2nd child when
James died. Martha came back to her family in Cannon County, TN,
where their 2nd daughter, Mary Thirsa, was born May 7, 1882. Any
