Richard PENNINGTON (1752-1813) and wife Hannah BOONE PENNINGTON came
to White Co., TN in 1811 with their son, Joshua PENNINGTON and his
family. Joshua had a land grant there near Doyle (and now Bethlehem
area). Richard Pennington was a Revolutionary War soldier who served
at Capt. Enoch Osborn's Fort in Montgomery/Grayson Co., VA. Some
descendants are planning on placing a memorial monument to Richard
Pennington at Bethlehem Cemetery, where he most likely was interred
December 21, 1813. If there are those descendants and families who
are interested in having more information and participating, please

Searching for ancestors of Robert BURTON (1808 - NC) who wed Jane L.
AGEE (1814 - TN?AL). First child born in TN in 1834; reportedly in
White County. The fourth child was born in July, 1840, before the
family moved into Mississippi; later, to Arkansas where they
remained. Need parents' names as well as siblings, and place of
birth so that we search further back in NC. Will gladly share what I

Does anyone know who put a tombstone up for BITHA GARAHAM at the Mt.
Gilead Cemetery? Does anyone know when she was born or died? There are no dates for
her birth or death on her tombstone. The tombstone is fairly new.
Does anyone know who her parents were?
Also searching for any descendants of Will WINNETT, Archie Newton
WINNETT, Hillary WINNETT, and Columbus WINNETT. Newton WINNETT is
also buried in the Mt. Gilead Cemetery.

I am searching for the parents of my father, William Winfrey
MARSHALL. Their names are Andrew MARSHALL and Nancy PRESLEY and were
married Apr 5th, 1883. It is believed she was previously married to
Daniel BAKER, on Dec 12th, 1876. She had 2 brothers Dock and Enoch

White County, TN Found a Deed Book T Page 170 and 171 showing 5000
acres Grant 5038 to said Arod Copeland to Samuel Sheldon. Found in
this deed that Arod Copeland was from PA. This is dated Feb. 19, 1840
and filed April 23, 1857. Does anyone know the family this Arod

Searching for any info on a Cal or Calvin ELKINS who fathered two
children in Knox county TN 1)Robert Allen ELKINS born 1884 2)Leora
