LOWREY

First, thank you to those who sent information about the Moores and Lowreys related to Alma Moore Lowrey and Roy Kenneth Lowrey. What a blessing! There is still a big piece missing that I just cannot find. Does anyone know the name of the woman who was Roy Lowrey's mother? Her picture is labelled Florence. The family called her Big Mama, or so I've been told. I cannot find her maiden name anywhere, and all the records sent to me by others show her as Florence (?) born 1889 according to census records while married to Charles Lowry (though we spell it Lowrey)

If you know who Florence Lowrey's family was before she was a Lowrey, please let me know. Also, if anyone knows members of the Lowrey/Moore group personally and would like to share memories or stories I sure would love to hear them. Thanks alot.

KERBY, KIRBY, WEBSTER

I am seeking information on William KERBY and Sarah WEBSTER. I believe they were married July 12, 1854 in White County, TN. Did they have a son, William R. Kerby, born in 1855? Are Sarah and William the same people listed in the 1860 Federal Census for Greene Co. AR in the household of T.H. Newsom? Thanks,
Rick Kirby

TATE

I am looking for information about a "Tom Tate" and his wife "Joscie Hunt". They moved to Texas in the 1890's (as far as we can tell). They were in Tennessee at one point, because the 1900 and 1910 Census lists the childern's birthplace as TN.

RUSSELL, BRYAN, BRYANT

I am looking for information about the family of John Russell of White County, TN. I don't have much in the way of detail except to say that his wife may have been named Elizabeth. There was a deed listing a John Russell married to an Elizabeth in 1819 supposedly. I am trying to determine the names of the daughters of my 4th great grandfather, Morgan Bryan(t) of White County. In Morgan's will in 1817, he leaves some money to a John Russell. The amount of money matches the amount of money given to his other children. I'm assuming John Russell was the husband of one of the daughters (7 total). The wife of John Russell was most likely born betwween 1801 and 1812, but there is room to move on either side of thiss date gap. Does anyone have any leads? Thanks, -Jeff Bryant

MOORE, LOWREY

I am looking for information on the families of Alma Lee Moore Lowrey, born around 1916, daughter of Mamie Moore...and the family of Roy Kenneth Lowrey, married to Alma Lee Moore sometime between 1930 and 1940. My father was Don Lowrey, born in Sparta in 1944, and he passed away before sharing with me the history that needs to be shared with my children. He was very proud of his roots...I know the stories, have the pictures, and NO names. I know he would want my kids to know so they would somehow feel closer to him.

Can some kind soul make copies for me from the Minute Court Records Index for 1820-1825 on Underwoods. In 10-18-1822 and 10-22-1822 there is an item citing 3 orphan children of Seth Underwood; Brice, Thomas and Benjamin. There should be more further in time. Also, how do I get the actual copies of the proceedings? Thank you so much. Marilyn - Fla.
