TERRY

I am searching for information on my Dad, grandfather, and grandmother on my Dad's side. They lived in White County TN for a time before moving to Chattanooga. They were share croppers, and my Dad told stories of swimming in a stream that came out of a cave on or near the farm they worked on. I would like to find that cave or area. I believe it to be near Sparta as they would go into town in Sparta. My Dad's name is Lee Burton Terry. He was born in 1924 (died in 2006) in White county on the farm. My grandfather's name is Herbert Terry. My grandmother's maiden name is Moore and I was told her father was the superintendant of Schools in White county. I did find a school teacher in some of the old photographs from Whote county by the last name of Moore Ms. Bll Moore, I think it said. Do you think I could get information on these folks at the white county courthouse?

BEACHBOARD, BEECHBOARD, RICHARDSON

Hello. I am looking for where District 8 Jackson County TN in the 1920's is today. The place in particular would have been known as Beachboard hollar. There is a graveyard at the fork or bend of a creek or river and you have to walk to it in order to get there. Matthew Beachboard is who is buried there. From what I'm told his name is chiseled on a stone in this graveyard. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Matthew would be my great-great-great grandfather.
